Our Origin

VIA began with a simple question from a 15-year-old:
“Why do people think our story starts with slavery?”

That question became a vision.
A vision became a brand.
And the brand became a statement worn on the chest.

VIA exists to remind the world that our history does not begin with oppression.
Our presence precedes the ship.
Our culture predates the record.
Our footprints were already here.

Africa is the beginning — not the interruption.

What We Believe

Humanity’s earliest breath, earliest art, earliest science, earliest migrations — all flow from one root.

Wherever we stand today… Atlanta, New York, Los Angeles, Barbados, Accra —
we trace back through the diaspora to one origin:

Africa.
